Timeline of events
APRIL 14, 2026
Contract signed
Supply contract signed for 62 trade show tents (3×3, 3×6, 4×4, 4×8) with 600D Oxford fabric. Total: ¥124,573 (~$18,000 USD). Delivery agreed for May 20, 2026.
JUNE 29, 2026
Goods received at Moscow warehouse — defects discovered immediately
All tents inspected upon arrival. Massive defects found across the entire batch: dirty footprints on white fabric, fabric stains that cannot be removed, broken connectors, poor quality materials throughout. First complaint sent to Ciara Zhou via Alibaba messenger the same day.
JULY 4, 2026
Full inventory completed — 166 photos submitted as evidence
Complete defect inventory conducted. 166 photographs documenting defects across all tent sizes and categories sent to supplier via Alibaba. Supplier acknowledged receipt and said she would "organize the information."
JULY 6, 2026
Supplier goes silent
After one brief response saying she needs to "organize the information," Mrs. Ciara Zhou stopped responding entirely. Follow-up messages on July 7 and July 8 left unread and unanswered.
JULY 2026 — PRESENT
Complete non-response. This page published.
Supplier continues to ignore all contact attempts. Phone calls not answered. This documentation published to protect other buyers from the same supplier.
Documented defects
01
Footprints on white fabric
Multiple tents have visible dirty footprints across the ceiling and wall fabric — evidence that goods were walked on during storage or handling. Impossible to clean.
02
Permanent fabric stains
Large dark stains across fabric panels — not dirt but defects in the fabric itself. Cannot be removed. Goods cannot be sold or rented in this condition.
03
Broken connectors
Plastic connectors break under minimal stress — some broke simply during transportation before any use. Metal connectors were specified; powder-coated plastic of this quality is not fit for purpose.
04
Substandard fabric quality
Fabric does not correspond to the 600D Oxford specification listed in the contract. Thin, inconsistent weave, prone to damage.
05
Defective zippers and velcro
Zippers misaligned or non-functional on multiple units. Velcro strips incorrectly attached or failing.
06
Cosmetic damage to frames
Paint chips and surface damage on aluminum frame components across multiple tent sizes.
Correspondence record
CIARA ZHOU → BUYER · WHATSAPP · MAY 2026 (BEFORE SHIPMENT)
Prior to shipment, supplier made explicit quality promises via WhatsApp Business account (+86 183 7030 3272):

"We'll do our best to make this order perfect, and we're excited to work with you again soon :)"

"OK when sending the goods, we will also send the photos"

On May 23, 2026, supplier confirmed shipment with photos of loaded cargo. Goods arrived June 29 — severely defective. Supplier has not responded to any quality complaints since July 6.
BUYER → CIARA ZHOU · ALIBABA MESSENGER · JUNE 29, 2026
First complaint submitted on the day of goods arrival. Described visible defects including dirty fabric, footprints, and broken connectors. Requested response and resolution.
BUYER → CIARA ZHOU · ALIBABA MESSENGER · JULY 4, 2026
Sent complete defect inventory: 166 photographs grouped by defect type and tent size. Explained that goods cannot be sold in this condition. Asked: "Ciara, can you tell me what we should do next?" Noted the Russian tent season is short and immediate resolution is needed. Also raised concern about connector quality — plastic connectors failing during transport, metal connectors were expected per premium product pricing.
CIARA ZHOU → BUYER · JULY 6, 2026 · 11:46
Single response received: "Please allow me to first organize the information you provided about the goods." No further communication received.
BUYER → CIARA ZHOU · JULY 7 & JULY 8, 2026
Two follow-up messages sent: "Ciara, do you have any updates?" and "Ciara???" — both left unread. Supplier has not responded since July 6.
